Opportunites
Institutions and employers on the SOLO Network can create and manage various types of opportunities such as internships, courses, live projects, hackathons, and jobs. These opportunities can be made visible to participants on the platform, allowing learners to explore and enroll.
Create Section
The Create section is a quick-create option on the navigation menu that allows users to create:
- Posts
- Opportunities (Courses, Internships, Live Projects, Hackathons, Jobs)
Creating Opportunities
To create any type of opportunity, follow these steps:
- Click the "+" Button: Located in the top menu.
- Select the Type of Opportunity: Choose from Courses, Internships, Live Projects, Hackathons, or Jobs.
Creating Courses, Internships, and Live Projects

Select "Course," "Internship," or "Live Project":

Fill in the Form:
- Course/Internship/Live Project Name: Enter the name.
- Subcategory: Select the subcategory.
- Duration: Specify the duration in hours.
- Core Skills: List the core skills.
- Recommended For: Specify the target audience.
- Description: Provide a detailed description.
- Criteria: Mention any eligibility criteria.
- Credentials Awarded: Select the credentials awarded after completion.
- Country and State: Specify the location.
- Mode of Course: Choose from virtual, onsite, or hybrid.
- Type: Select whether it is paid or unpaid. If paid, enter the amount.
- Banner Image: Add a banner image for the opportunity.

Save the Opportunity: Click "Save" to finish. The opportunity will appear on the My Opportunities page in draft status. It can be published immediately or from the My Opportunities page to make it visible to learners on the platform.
Creating Hackathons

Select "Hackathon":

Fill in the Form:
- Hackathon Name: Enter the name.
- Category: Select the category.
- Date and Time: Specify the start date and time.
- Venue: Enter the venue details.
- Description: Provide a detailed description.
- Problem/Challenge Statement: Describe the problem or challenge.
- Solution/Innovation Looking For: Specify the expected solutions or innovations.
- Award/Prize: Mention any awards or prizes.
- Credentials Awarded: Select the credentials awarded after completion.
- Mode: Choose from virtual, onsite, or hybrid.
- Type: Select whether it is paid or unpaid. If paid, enter the amount.
- Banner Image: Add a banner image for the hackathon.

Save the Hackathon: Click "Save" to finish. The hackathon will appear on the My Opportunities page in draft status. It can be published immediately or from the My Opportunities page to make it visible to learners on the platform.
Creating Jobs (Only for Employers)

Select "Job":

Fill in the Form:
- Job Title: Enter the job title.
- Skills: List the required skills.
- Last Date of Submission: Specify the deadline for applications.
- Company Location: Enter the company location, including country and state.
- Job Description: Provide a detailed description of the job.
- Criteria: Mention any eligibility criteria.
- Employment Type: Choose from full-time, part-time, or contract.
- Work Environment: Select whether it is work from home or onsite.
- Salary Range: Enter the salary range.
- Employer Email Address: Provide the employer's email address.

Save the Job: Click "Save" to finish. The job will appear on the My Opportunities page in draft status. It can be published immediately or from the My Opportunities page to make it visible to learners on the platform.
My Opportunities
When an institution or employer creates an opportunity, it is listed on the My Opportunities page. This section allows institutions and employers to:
- Search Opportunities: Use the search option to find a specific opportunity.
- View by Tabs: Opportunities are organized in different tabs for easy navigation.
- Control Opportunities: View opportunities in the form of cards and manage them easily.
Opportunity Status
- Live Opportunities: Can be explored by anyone, and any student/learner can enroll.
- Draft Opportunities: Not publicly open and can only be seen by the institution or employer.
Managing Opportunities
- Edit: Make changes to the opportunity details in the draft stage.
- Revert to Draft: Change the status of a live opportunity back to draft.
- Publish: Make a draft opportunity live.
- Share: Share the opportunity details page link with others for published opportunities.
- Delete: Opportunities could be deleted if no enrollments are done.
Reviews
Institutions and employers have the option to ask for reviews, by sharing a review link to help get feedback from students/learners who have already enrolled in the opportunity.
Review Process
- Request a Review: Generate a link to send to learners for reviews.
- Learner Login: The learner must log in to the platform to provide a review.
- Provide Review: The learner can give a star rating and write a review. Both star rating and review are mandatory to submit the review.
By creating and managing these opportunities, institutions and employers can effectively engage with learners and provide valuable experiences on the SOLO Network platform.
