Manage Credentials & CLR Creation

The Credentials submenu in the profile menu displays a list of all credentials issued by an institution or employer. It shows both OpenBadges and CLR credentials, and it allows the creation of CLRs from OpenBadges. This page includes filters for credential name, receiver name, achievement name, and credential type (OpenBadges or CLR). It shows the status of credential as active or inactive.  Additionally, it provides options to view, reissue, and revoke credentials.

Creating a CLR from OpenBadges​

To create a Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR) from OpenBadges, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Credentials Page:

    • Log in to your institution's account and head to the 'Credentials' page.
    • Here, you’ll find a list of OpenBadges issued by your institution.

  2. Select OpenBadges:

    • To create a CLR, select one or more OpenBadges that have been issued to the same recipient.
    • For example, select the OpenBadges issued to a learner named Kanesh.

  1. Create CLR:
    • With the badges selected, click the 'Create CLR' button.
    • Fill out the CLR creation form with the following details:
      • Name: Enter the name for the CLR.
      • Description: Add a brief description.
      • Image: Upload an image that represents the CLR.
      • Issued Date: Select the issued date for the CLR.
      • Expiry Date: Select the expiry date for the CLR.
    • Click on 'Save' to initiate the credentialing process.

  1. Issuance Process Completion:
    • Once the process is complete, a success popup will appear.
    • The newly created CLR will be visible in the 'CLR List'.

Viewing Credential(CLR)​

  • The new CLR will also be available to the learner on their SOLO profile.
  • To view it, go to the 'CLR List' and click on 'Credential Wallet'.

The CLR (Comprehensive Learner Record) details page provides an in-depth view of the learner's achievements by combining multiple OpenBadges into a single, detailed record.

The CLR details page displays:

  • CLR Name: The name of the Comprehensive Learner Record.
  • Image: An image representing the CLR.
  • Description: A brief overview of what the CLR represents.
  • OpenBadges Included: A list of the OpenBadges that are part of this CLR. You can click on any OpenBadge to view its specific details.

JSON View For those interested in the technical details, you can also view the CLR in JSON format, along with the OpenBadges it contains.

Additional Learning Opportunities​

To explore other learning opportunities offered by the issuer, click on the 'More from Issuer' link. This will take you to a page showcasing other learning programs and credentials provided by the institution.

By effectively managing credentials and creating CLRs, institutions and employers can enhance the value of learners' achievements on the SOLO Network platform.
