Credential Wallet
The Credential Wallet feature provides users with a comprehensive list of their imported credentials, offering a streamlined way to manage and share their achievements. Below are the key functionalities available in the Credential Wallet:
Credential List and Filter
- View All Credentials: Users can view all credentials in their wallet.
- Filter by Source: Filter credentials based on whether they were issued by SOLO or imported.
- Filter by Standard: Filter credentials based on the standard, such as OpenBadges or CLR.
Import Credential
Users can import credentials into their Credential Wallet, similar to the import method available in their profile. Steps to Import Credential:
-
Add the credential web address, credential JSON data, or upload the credential badge in the import form.
-
Once imported, credentials will be visible in the list.
Recipient Matching:
- For OpenBadges 2.0, the learner's account email on SOLO should match the recipient email used to sign the credential JSON.
- For OpenBadges 3.0 and CLR, the SOLO user's Decentralized Identifier (DID) should match the recipient DID in the credential metadata.
- If the recipient details do not match, the credential will still be imported but marked as unverified.
Share Credential
Users can select one or more credentials and share them via email. Steps to Share Credential:
- Select the desired credentials.
- Click on the Share button.
- In the popup, enter the recipient's email address and submit.
- The credentials, along with all their details, will be sent to the specified email.
Create CLR (Comprehensive Learner Record)
Users can create a CLR by combining one or more OpenBadge credentials. This feature helps learners combine related credentials and share them with employers or other entities. Steps to Create CLR:
- Select the OpenBadge credentials to add to the CLR.
- Click on Create CLR.
- In the form, enter the CLR name, description, and upload an image that represents the CLR.
- Submit the form to create the new CLR credential.
View Credential Page
The "View Credential" page is a publicly accessible page that learners can use to showcase their credentials. It displays detailed information about the credentials and supports viewing credentials of various standards such as OpenBadges 2.0, OpenBadges 3.0, and CLR.
Detailed Information Includes:
- Credential name

- Skills earned
- JSON representation of the credential
- Credential status (verified, unverified, or self-issued)
- If the credential is a CLR, it will list all the OpenBadges inside it, which can also be viewed individually by clicking on their respective "View Credential" links.
On the right side of the page, there are options to:
- Share the credential on social media platforms directly.
- Copy the link to share the credential.
- Add the credential to a LinkedIn account by clicking on the "Add to LinkedIn" button.
When this page is shared, recipients can view all details of the credentials, providing a comprehensive view of the learner's achievements and the verification status of each credential.
- JSON View: For those interested in the technical details, you can also view the Openbadges & CLR in JSON format.
- Additional Learning Opportunities:
- To explore other learning opportunities offered by the issuer, click on the 'More from Issuer' link.
- This will take you to a page showcasing other learning programs and credentials provided by the institution.
By effectively managing credentials and creating CLRs, institutions and employers can enhance the value of learners' achievements on the SOLO Network platform.
